Learning to Ride

When you are ready to ride these are the things to know.  First you should get familiar with these words, tack, rein, saddle, stirrup, mount, and dismount.
The saddle is what you sit on.  Place the saddle on the horse's back. Then mount up on to the horse.  To mount put your left foot in the stirup and swing your right leg over the saddle.  Now grab hold of the reins and sit up strait in the saddle.  You are now in the ridding  position.  To dismount swing your right leg over the saddle again.  To learn to ride you can go to a horse school.  One that I recommend is Happy Trails Riding school, Colorado.

Houses for Horses

Every horse needs a house!  There is a special name for the house, a stable.  In a stable your horse will have a stall .  Your horse will live there.  To make sure your horse is comfortable you will put straw on the bottom of the stall .  If it is not cleaned on a regular basis the  horse could get sick! To make sure that doesn't happen use a pitchfork to clean the stall.
